Directions to the Nottoway County Courthouse complex
FROM THE NORTH
U.S. Highway 360:
- U.S. Highway 360 to its intersection with Route 153 in Amelia County
(153 is Military Road in Amelia and Rocky Hill Road in Nottoway) - South on Route 153 to U.S. Highway 460
(Hwy 460 is Cox Road in Nottoway) - West on Hwy 460 to the Nottoway exit;
(direction toward Farmville & Lynchburg, about 9-10 miles) - Exit right off Hwy 460 at the Nottoway exit
(then travel over the Hwy 460 and Norfolk Southern RR overpass; soon after you pass over the Norfolk Southern RR, the road splits – U.S. Highway 460 Business towards Blackstone is the left fork and Route 625 West Courthouse Road is the right fork) - Take the right fork, West Courthouse Road.
- The Courthouse Complex will soon be on your right.
Interstate 95:
- Exit off I95 to I85 South
(at Petersburg) - Exit off I85 on to U.S. Highway 460 West
(right exit toward Fort Pickett & Blackstone – travel approximately 40 miles) - Exit right off U.S. Highway 460 at Nottoway
(about 40 miles from I85 – if you get to the Town of Crewe, you have gone too far; you are now on the western end of the U.S. Highway 460 Business crossing the overpass of U.S. Highway 460 and the Norfolk Southern Railroad) - Exit right off the ramp road / U.S. Hwy 460 Business at Route 625, West Courthouse Road
(soon after you pass over the Norfolk Southern Railroad, the ramp road splits – U.S. Highway 460 Business towards Blackstone is the left fork and Route 625 [West Courthouse Road] is the right fork.) - The Courthouse Complex will soon be on your right.
FROM THE EAST
U.S. Highway 460:
- U.S. Highway 460 West
(toward Fort Pickett, Blackstone, Lynchburg) - Exit right off U.S. Highway 460 at Nottoway
(if you get to the Town of Crewe, you have gone too far; you are now on the western end of the U.S. Highway 460 Business crossing the overpass of U.S. Highway 460 and the Norfolk Southern Railroad) - Exit right off the ramp road / U.S. Hwy 460 Business at Route 625, West Courthouse Road

State Route 40:
- State Route 40 West
(State Route 40 is Darvills Road in Nottoway County and Dinwiddie Avenue in the Town of Blackstone; it joins U.S. Highway 460 Business in Blackstone where it becomes North Main Street) - Turn left (southwest) on North Main Street; Continue for several blocks.
(North Main will become South Main in the middle of town) - Turn right (west) off South Main Street on to Church Street (Hwy 460 Business West)
(State Rt. 40 and Hwy 460 Business split at Church Street in Blackstone; Continue on Church Street, which becomes Old Nottoway Road for about 5 miles; you will pass the school complex on the left) - Turn left (south) on Route 625 – West Courthouse Road.

FROM THE SOUTH
I85 & U.S 1 & U.S. 58:
- Exit off I85 / U.S. 1 /U.S. 58 on to State Route 46 North near Lawrenceville/Alberta
(State Route 46 is Brunswick Road in Nottoway County) - Travel North on State Route 46 to its intersection with State Route 40
(toward the Town of Blackstone; 46 terminates at its intersection with 40 /South Main Street @ Blackstone Shopping Center) - Turn right (northeast) on State Route 40 / South Main Street; travel several blocks.
(this will take you toward downtown Blackstone) - Turn left (west) off South Main Street on to Church Street (Hwy 460 Business West)
(State Rt. 40 and Hwy 460 Business split at Church Street in Blackstone; Continue on Church Street, which becomes Old Nottoway Road for about 5 miles; you will pass the school complex on the left) - Turn left (south) on Route 625 – West Courthouse Road.

I85 & U.S. 1:
- Exit I85 / U.S. 1 on to State Route 40 West at McKenney
(exit will be south of the Town of McKenney) - Travel west on State Route 40 to Blackstone
(State Route 40 is Darvills Road in Nottoway County; you will pass by the Fort Pickett Main Gate entrance; Darvills Road becomes Dinwiddie Avenue in the Town of Blackstone; State Route 40 joins U.S. Highway 460 Business in Blackstone where it becomes North Main Street) - Turn left (southwest) on North Main Street; Continue for several blocks.

(U.S. Highway 360 and 460 split east of Burkeville before one passes Piedmont Geriatric Hospital) - Travel through Crewe on U.S. Highway 460 / West Virginia Avenue / East Virginia Avenue
(U.S. Highway 460 is West/East Virginia Avenue in Crewe) - Exit right off U.S. Highway 460 at Nottoway
(this is about 3½ miles from the Town limits of Crewe) - Turn right at the end of the ramp
(you will pass over the Norfolk Southern Railroad and then there will be a split in the road – U.S. Highway 460 Business towards Blackstone is the left fork and Route 625 West Courthouse Road is the right for). - The road splits – take the right fork, which is Route 625, West Courthouse Road
(A church is at this intersection) - The Courthouse Complex will soon be on your right.
State Route 40:
- State Route 40 East
(State Route 40 is Kenbridge Road in Nottoway County and South Main Street in the Town of Blackstone) - Turn left (west) off South Main Street on to Church Street (Hwy 460 Business West)
(State Rt. 40 and Hwy 460 Business split at Church Street in Blackstone; Continue on Church Street, which becomes Old Nottoway Road for about 5 miles; you will pass the school complex on the left) - Turn left (south) on Route 625 – West Courthouse Road.
